This week we're excited to welcome Yaffa Epstein of Pardes Institute who will be speaking about "The Myth of the Ideal Jewish Woman"!
"Bruriah is one of the few women named in the Talmud. More interestingly, she is one of the only learned women mentioned. We will be examining the stories told about her, and asking the question - who do the Rabbis see as the ideal Woman? In 2012, is Bruriah a role model for the modern Woman, or a relic of the patriarchy?"
