Pubs/Bars/Clubs

D’Angelo’s: Great dancing—if you are looking for the cheesy 70’s/80’s variety in an intimate setting. They take requests—and then actually play them!

Fergie’s: Hey he’s got his own column in PW. Oh, and Quizzo.

Lucy’s Hat Shop: One of the first, and still one of the best Old City watering holes.

NoChe/Drinker’s Pub: Right next to each other, both have great crowds for happy hour as well as late night.

North Star Bar: Good bands, good beer—just plan your way home in advance because it’s tough to catch a cab around here at night.

The Raven Lounge: A great addition on Sansom Street for a drink or a good DJ. Check out their stand-up comedy nights. 215/840-3577

Silk City: If you want to be someone’s Joey Ramone, dance here.

The Standard Tap: The name says it all--the place for a basic beer or boar burger in Northern Liberties.

Tritone: A hipster dive. Cheap drinks, live music—and the best fried pickles you’ll find north of the Mason-Dixon. 215/545-0475
