
Top 10 Things you have to do if you are relatively new to Philly.
• Bike/Blade/Run on Kelly Drive...then come back at night to check out the sparkling boathouses of Boat House Row.
• Tour old city sites such as Betsy Ross House and Elfreth's Alley (the oldest continuously inhabited residential street in the country) before enjoying First Friday on 2nd and 3rd streets.
• Spend a day in Independence National Historical Park. Start at the Independence Visitor’s Center. Check out the Constitution Center. Take a photo in front of the Liberty Bell. Tour Independence Hall. Hear the true stories of history right where they happened at the renowned storytelling benches operated by Historic Philadelphia and Once Upon a Nation. End your day at 6th and Chestnut at the HPI Center and maybe even catch the Lights of Liberty Show.
• Ride Smarty Jones or Afleet Alex on the Philadelphia Park Liberty Carousel and play a round of mini-golf at Franklin Square , or splash in the fountain at Love Park (just don't get caught as it may be a finable offense).
• Run up the stairs of the Philadelphia Museum of Art (a la Rocky), and then go on inside to check out the actual art.
• Visit the street Rocky ran down and while you are there enjoy a fantastic meal or get some ingredients to make your own fantastic meal at the Italian Market.
• Visit Reading Terminal Market for lunch and while you are there shop in one of the largest, freshest, liveliest public markets you will ever see.
• Spend a Sunday sitting out in Rittenhouse Square or Washington Square. (Bring a blanket as many dogs like to visit these parks too).
• Visit the Magic Garden at 1020 South Street and see Isaiah Zagar's incredible garden studio complex.
• Do some shopping on Walnut or Chestnut Streets.
